Falling Rock Elopement

I had a clear image in mind for a styled wedding photo shoot that I wanted to do. I wanted the bride to be in a simple white dress with beautiful greenery surrounding them. Luckily in the Black Hills there is no shortage of tress and hideaways for photo shoots, so we headed up to Falling Rock in Rapid City. I recruited Sam and Dalton (who are engaged in real life!) to do this photo shoot and as we were doing the photos I knew it was one of my favorite shoots I had done to date. There was something so sweet and meaningful about seeing how easily this "elopement" came together and watching these two joke around and make faces at each other behind the camera. Sometimes you just know when magic is happening.

Although this was a styled shoot, it could be replicated and used as inspiration for so many brides! The "groom" had the suit already and the dress was under $50 from my boutique Glittered Vein. The "bride" had her engagement ring and the grooms ring was made by a local business. The flowers were romantic and extremely affordable from Victoria's Garden in Rapid City, SD. It really goes to show that you can have beautiful images and a day to cherish forever without all the pressure of deciding on a cake flavor, wedding favors, and what color the bridesmaids dresses are! Don't get me wrong, I had a traditional wedding and absolutely loved it, but I want every bride to know the day is about her and the groom and exactly what they want. And if you want a simple and breathtaking elopement in nature, you can have just that.
