Rapid City Elopement at Canyon Lake Park: Amber & Brian

Back in May, Brian reached out to me through Instagram and explained that he and his fiancé, Amber, were eloping at Canyon Lake in June. He let me know that Amber would be driving up from Mississippi and he wanted to make the day as special as possible for her. I could tell right away that Brian had stars in his eyes for Amber, and after meeting her, it was easy to see why! She was honestly one of the sweetest brides that I have ever worked with.

I gave Brian some vendor recommendations and he decided he wanted to surprise Amber with a bridal bouquet from Kayly Shae Floral Designs, some cupcakes and champagne. I had a call with Amber who explained that she was a little overwhelmed about pulling off an elopement, having to drive so far by herself, and find hair, makeup and nails in a day. Ladies, I am here to help. I sent Amber all my recommendations for salons, assured her we had their elopement timeline put together, and even looked over photos of her dress that she sent. At the end of our phone call, Amber said she felt so much more calm after talking with me. That is what I am here for! It’s so important to work with vendors who truly care about your day and experience.

On their wedding day, they shared a first look together and a small ceremony in Canyon Lake Park with a few of Brians friends. They set up FaceTime calls with their family so they could be there in spirit and watch as they said “I Do”. Afterwards they had cupcakes, champagne and Coca Cola. Which was a nod to how they met! Brian was a Coca Cola distributer when he met Amber, so of course we had to take some photos with their coke bottles! It was such a sweet elopement and I was honored to be a part of their day. Amber and Brian, I wish you a lifetime of love, laughter and adventure!
